Our Story, Their Heritage
On February 9, 1991, business partners Doris and Helen opened the first Rose Garden Tearoom in Arlington, Texas. With the help of Helen's daughters, Melissa and Mary, they established a beloved chain of restaurants across the DFW Metroplex. Inspired by their humble beginnings, Helen's daughter Mary founded Mary's Rose Garden Tearoom in Highland Village's Painted Tree Boutiques. Here, Mary continues her mother's legacy, offering delectable desserts, warm tea, and an abundance of delicious food.

Helen and Doris met in an antique store in Granbury and quickly bonded over their shared passion for hospitality and delicious food. Doris managed the tearoom within the store, and their friendship soon blossomed into a successful partnership, leading to the founding of the Rose Garden Tearoom franchise. Doris contributed many cherished recipes, while Helen brought recipes from her mother and friends. Reflecting on their journey, Helen remarked, "God has truly blessed the Rose Garden." Their legacy continues to thrive, bringing joy, warmth, and delightful cuisine to patrons across the DFW Metroplex. The story of the Rose Garden Tearoom is a testament to friendship, family, and the love of good food, inspiring generations to come.
